Some of you have known or followed me since my early bumbling and fumbling with what ultimately has become The Mushroom Hunter’s Kitchen. Many more of you may have seen the quick and dirty posts in Chad’s Wild Mushroom Lab on Facebook. What you will find on this site will still be 100% me, from the heart, but it will probably look a little different, and hopefully a bit more cleaned up then what I have posted in the past.
Ultimately, to get the book finished and published, I had a long list of difficult decisions to make about what to keep and cut from the final drafts. As a result, a lot of recipes and ideas, some finished, and some still in progress, did not make it to print. Down the road, The Mushroom Hunter’s Kitchen may wind up with a second edition, or even a sequel, but, in the meantime, I still have a lot of ideas I want to share. As time allows, these recipes, stories, and ideas will begin to appear in this blog space.
If you’ve been following me elsewhere, you will have noticed my lack of output since the beginning of the year. All of my effort and free time has gone towards the final details and busy work required to get the book tidied up and printed. As soon as the book is finally sent off to the printer in early October, I can get back to the much more fun task of creating new content for this blog and future books. Unfortunately, until then, these details will continue to consume most of my free time, keeping new content a bit sparse at first. The site will slowly grow, evolve, and improve, but please bear with me in the meantime.
If you have any questions about the book or upcoming events, or would like to talk about me doing an event with you in the future, please drop me a line.
